After glancing through that book of games of Boal's, i noticed there are a few themes. I think Boal was all about breaking down barriers. He likes people who normally wouldnt to physically touch. He also throws people in at the deep end by forcing them to make sounds or faces that break the ice. However, people that don't understand Boal may refuse to do this as it may seem awkward and uncomfortable. I think that is that are workshops are about, over coming that awkwardness and realising you look more "stupid," if you don't participate properly.
